About Me

I love the energy, enthusiasm and talents teen have and spend most of my time taking senior pictures but also enjoy photographing headshots and theatre productions. When I’m not holding a camera or in front of my computer I love to read books, especially mysteries/sci-fi, ride my bike on the many amazing trails around the twin cities and attend as many theatre productions as I can. I have served on the board of the Twin Cities Professional Photography Association (TCPPA), for the last 3 years. I just moved to Salt Lake (Fall 2022) and now scheduling senior pictures in Utah. I still travel to Minneapolis periodically for senior pictures.
It's All About the Light
I use a combination of natural light and flash to capture the authentic you. At some locations, natural light will be perfect. Other locations, flash and strobes bring the scene, and you, to life. With years of experience using both flash and natural light, I know how to balance the light for the ideal image.
My History
I had an indirect route to photography. I fell in backwards when I took a photoshop class at Hennepin Technical College 7 years ago. I took the class to learn how to create better posters and and ended up learning I loved taking pictures. I started photographing my 3 sons at Maple Grove Senior High. I have been a full-time photographer since 2013.
Before I started photography, I was an ultrasound technician at Mercy Hospital for 15 years. My husband often jokes that I’ve gone from taking pictures of peoples insides to pictures of their outsides.
